The TM-1 Display Positioning Platform is designed to assist the SS400 series' customers with the placement and orientation of displays under test.  Through the use of this platform, a display can be positioned in the pitch and yaw axis.  The platform is suitable for both CRT and flat panel displays and will support loads up to 100 pounds.

The TM-1 is a very handy addition to the display test environment.  It is helpful in general testing, but is extremely important when making reflectance measurements to assist in the accurate alignment.   Off-axis measurements can be augmented with the platform by extending the measurable angles.

The TM-1 is constructed using 3/8 inch black anodized aluminum plate as the top platform surface, along with the base plate.  The top plate has a 1/2 inch ground shaft mounted to it, and a bushing with a ball thrust bearing supporting the rotation axis.  Two roller bearing wheels support the top plate at the cantilever end.  At the opposite end, a leveling mount is mounted to the base plate that adjusts the base plate in tilt.  The rotation axis has a locking mechanism to keep the top plate in position once adjusted.

ZM-1 Display Positioning Platform

The ZM-1 table has been developed to aid our customers in the testing of displays. This table allows the operator to position the display on the table and move it effortlessly towards or away from the SS410/SS420 measurement system. With the optional absolute digital metering system (ZM-1-Dig), the UUT can be accurately positioned at a fixed distance away from the testing apparatus in either metric or English units.

The construction of the table consists of 3/8 inch aluminum top and bottom plates that are finished in black anodize plating. The lower plate has 3/4 inch shafting which is supported throughout the length with aluminum rail supports. The top plate has four linear bearings which mate with the rails. The unit is manually positioned and a locking mechanism allows a permanent placement.

An added convenience of the table is that the vertical height of the table can be changed with an optional set of extensions which can increase the height to meet your specific needs. This is convenient since most displays need to be elevated in order to measure the lower regions of the display. Also, the ZM-1 can be used with the TM-1 table (tilt and rotation) to provide a three axis adjustment, which is very useful when making measurements of flat panels where the alignment is critical for tests such as the ISO 13406-2.
